Beard Trim Deluxe

Beard Trim Deluxe is the longer of the two beard services on the tariff. Half an hour in the chair to set the shape, condition the beard, and finish the line with a straight razor on hot lather — the small ceremony of a real shave, applied to the edges of a beard you mean to keep.

What’s in it

• A beard re-set with shears and a comb. We listen to what you’ve been trying to do with it, take the bulk down where it’s heavy, and bring the cheek and neck lines back to where they ought to be.
• A deep conditioning treatment worked through the beard with fingers and a wide-tooth comb. The beard sits in it for a few minutes; you sit in the chair and let the room work on you.
• A hot towel laid across the face to soften the edges.
• A straight-razor finish — single-use blade, fresh badger-brush lather — to clean the cheek line, the neck line, and the line along the moustache.
• A short facial: hot lather rinsed down, a cool witch-hazel towel to close the pores, and a balm worked in by hand.

Who it’s for

Men who keep a beard and want it to look kept, and want the time that the work asks for. If you only need a quick shape-up, book the shorter Beard Trim instead. A note on the razor

The blade is single-use and changed in front of you. We work in two passes on the lines we shave — with the grain and across it, never against — and finish with an alum block and an unscented balm. If you have skin sensitivities, tell us at the chair.

How to book

By appointment. The booking link is the fastest way to a chair — the telephone is the slower one. The chair is a quiet one; book ahead so we can lather without rushing.
